Crescent Courtship

It's a warm and misty Hawaiian evening on a calm and tepid tropical lagoon. The moon is large and golden with a crescent form that shimmers like liquid gold upon the gentle water's surface. The smell of fresh plumeria fills the night air with magic and romance.

This night becomes a very enchanted one for these two tiny geckos who have fallen hopelessly in love. Oblivious to place and time, they embrace each other gently, bathed in the warm candle's light that contrasts perfectly with the cool tradewinds that fill the banana leaf sail. The "court ship" in this case is a large and sea worthy banana rigged with bamboo float to create a beautiful Hawaiian outrigger to suit their size. At the stern, a "gondolier" gecko steers the craft with the aid of his trusty cocktail swizzle stick, respecting the privacy of his lovesick passengers. Chopstick mast and maraschino cherry skewered at the bow finish the details and insure a "fruitful" journey.

This piece celebrates the classic magic of falling in love under the Hawaiian moon's radiant glow. It fondly recalls the bliss and timelessness of this little couple's "Crescent Courtship".
